To explore and master the artistic technique of light painting by manipulating light sources in long-exposure photography.

Light painting photography is a creative technique where a moving light source is used to “paint” or illuminate parts of a scene during a long-exposure shot. This technique allows photographers to create surreal and dynamic images by controlling light trails, exposure settings, and composition. Light painting can be done in a dark environment, where light sources such as LED lights, torches, glow sticks, or even fire are used to create unique effects. The key elements include understanding camera settings (shutter speed, aperture, and ISO), choosing appropriate light sources, and experimenting with movements to achieve desired results.

✅ Camera – A DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual mode support
✅ Tripod – To keep the camera stable during long exposures
✅ Remote Shutter Release – To avoid camera shake when taking long-exposure shots
✅ Extra Batteries & Memory Cards – Long exposures consume more power and storage
✅ Flashlight – For visibility and focus adjustments in the dark
