To familiarize students on the techniques related to metagenomics and molecular characterization using PCR techniques
The Hands-on Workshop on Metagenomics and Molecular Characterization Using PCR Techniques is designed to equip students with essential skills in metagenomics and molecular biology. The workshop will focus on the application of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) techniques for the amplification and characterization of specific genetic sequences, alongside metagenomic approaches for studying complex microbial communities. Students will gain practical experience in PCR-based methods, including primer design, amplification, and analysis, and will learn how to integrate these techniques with metagenomic data to explore microbial diversity and functional profiles. This workshop aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the tools and methodologies essential for advancing research in microbial genomics, molecular diagnostics, and environmental microbiology.
